Awards

Merit- Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards (2010)

Vidusayura won the merit award at the 10th International Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 12-15 October 2010. A total of 160 winners from 11 member economies showcased the best of ICT applications from the public and private sector as well as students under 16 categories. The Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA) is an international awards program which aims to increase ICT awareness in the community and assist in bridging the digital divide. By providing networking and product benchmarking opportunities to ICT innovators and entrepreneurs in the region, the program is designed to stimulate ICT innovation and creativity, promote economic and trade relations, facilitate technology transfer, and offer business matching opportunities via exposure to venture capitalists and investors.

Nominated for the World Summit Award (WSA 2011)

Vidusayura was nominated for the World Summit Award (WSA 2011). The World Summit Award (WSA) is a global activity to select and promote the world’s best e-Content and most innovative ICT applications. It offers a worldwide platform for all who value the creative use of ICTs and who are committed to making today’s information society more inclusive WSA is based on a unique mechanism of a global contest supported by national selections of best practice and a sequence of content-focused national and international events, content conferences and promotional exhibitions. It is organized by a global partner network, coordinated by the International Center for New Media. WSA partners come from governments, private sector and civil society in over 160 UN member states. WSA supports specifically the UN Millennium Development Goals of ending poverty, hunger and disease, providing education for all.

e-Swabhimani – The National Best e-Content Award (2009)

Vidusayura won e-Swabhimani – the National Best e-Content Award under the e- Science and Technology category at the e-Swabhimani award Ceremony 2009. The e-Swabhimani Award offers a platform for all who value the creative use of ICTs and who are committed to making today’s information society more inclusive.  With a view to ensuring that we have the best from Sri Lanka to be showcased at the WSA (The World Summit Award)

Gold Award- National Best Quality Software Awards (NBQSA) 2010

Vidusayura won the gold award under the Education and training category at the National Best Quality ICT Awards Ceremony 2010. Vidusayura won the overall bronze award at the same awards Ceremony. The National Best Quality ICT Awards (NBQSA) competition is an annual event organized by the BCS The Chartered Institute for IT Sri Lanka (BCSSL) Section. The avowed objectives of the NBQSA competition are threefold : To provide recognition to outstanding achievements of individuals and organizations in Sri Lanka who/which have contributed to the development of ICT, to create a window to gain international recognition for locally developed ICT products and to improve standards and the quality of local ICT products and services to be able to compete in the international market place.

Best Demonstration/ Poster award at the national IT conference (2009)

Vidusayura won best Poster/demonstration award at the national IT conference 2009. This a key annual Information and Communication Technology (ICT) conference intended to provide a forum for industry practitioners and academia, to keep up to date with current technology trends, interact with industry experts and network with peers
